This is sure to be controversial, but I stopped reading A Confederacy of Dunces about halfway through. I just Did. Not. Like It.
To be fair, I stopped reading A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius about 30 pages in the first time I picked it up, and it is now one of my favorites. But I just can't see that happening with Dunces. Maybe I'm stupid. Or maybe I'm actually very smart.
